Brian P. Barrow is a shareholder with Simon Greenstone Panatier Bartlett, PC. Brian’s primary expertise lies in written and oral advocacy on legal issues in trial and appellate courts. In the last 20 years, Brian has successfully handled hundreds of appeals, writs, and complex law and motion matters in federal and state courtrooms around the country.
Brian focuses on the “nuts and bolts” of representing individuals severely injured by the negligent or intentional acts of others. In the course of such work, he has developed special interest and knowledge in product manufacturers’ duties to warn, punitive damage liability, jurisdictional and venue issues, and the admissibility of expert opinion at trial. Brian draws on prior experience in other complex areas of the law including insurance coverage, commercial disputes, and professional liability.
Brian’s peers have named him to the Southern California Super Lawyers listing by Thomson Reuters for more than 10 consecutive years (2005-2017) and in 2007 was recognized as one of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Orange County. He is a past member of the California State Bar Committee on Appellate Courts and serves as a volunteer mediator for the Court of Appeal in Los Angeles, CA. Brian is a frequent invited speaker on product liability, developing legal issues, and appellate procedure. Brian is a member of the amicus curiae “friend of the court” committee of the Consumer Attorneys of California, which is responsible for identifying and participating in appellate cases of significance to physically or economically injured consumers.
